The township is located in the northeast part of Wołomin Poviat. It is populated by over 3,000 inhabitants and covers the area of 107 km2. Cyprian Kamil Norwid lived here for four years in his early childhood years.
CHARACTER OF REGION
Strachówka is a community of an agricultural character, ecologically clean and deprived of industry. Over a half of its area is covered with scenic forests. This fact makes it a perfect place for recreation and leisure as well as investment projects of tourist character. We invite visitors to hiking, strolling and biking trips.
The local spatial development plan features areas zoned for construction of tennis courts and resorts. The township has 5 elementary schools, an agricultural trade school, a public library, a post office, an outpatient clinic, a social service center as well as a self-government team of economic-administrative service of schools.
