Holy Trinity Church in Kobyłka |

The town is located 17 km east from Warsaw, along the road No 634 connecting Wolomin and Warsaw. 420 ha of the total parish's area of 2005 ha are covered with forests. A certain part of forested land has been transformed into the Grabicz Reserve.
HISTORY
The village had existed already in the 12th century. The first documentary historic mention comes from the beginning of the 15th century and it inform about placed Targowa Wola ("Market -will') because of popular horse market. Later has been used the name Kobylka ("Mare"). Since the second half of 16th century Kobylka has been the property of Stanislaw Minski- the voivode of Leczyca, then it belonged to the house Opacki, and in the 18th century to the Zaluski, from whom it inherited to the town privilege. Next Bishop Marcin Zaluski gave the town to Jesuits and they governed this area for 18 years. In fact the parish had been settled before 1415 and it's one of older parishes in this region and from there were established others units such as the parishes in Zielonka, Marki, Wolomin. Moreover, the monuments of sacral architecture were constructed later in the second half of the 18th century. These beautiful and precious object, which were established over two hundred years ago have outlasted despite of the damages during Kosciuszko Insurrection, Napoleon wars, World War II to the nowadays and they are still one of the most valuable Polish monuments of the 18th century sacral art. Kobylka has got in its history many interesting events, such as organising of the agricultural school in 1776 by Gautie de Salgues, establishing the manufacture producing silk belts after Parisian and Persian fashion including the belts for noblemen's robes and other precious textiles or setting the soap manufacture. After the partitions of Poland the invaders' politics hampered the development of the town and the settlement lost the town privilege. In August 14-15 1920 Polish military units won on the fields beside Ossów, Lesniakowizna and Kobylka the Bolshevik arms, which trying to capture Warsaw in frontal attack. Just in the seventies Kobylka recovered the towns rights and in 1992 were included in the town two colonies Turów and Kobylak.

CHARACTER OF REGION
The town is located 17 km from Warsaw along the road No. 634 connecting Wolomin and the capital of Poland. Almost the half of total parish's area is covered with forests and a certain part of this forested land has been transformed into the Grabicz Reserve. From north, west and south forests and meadows surround the town. Besides, this area is partitioned to parcels, which are covered by the one-family houses. This kind of the premises is dominated, but there are also areas of multi-family's houses. This region is characterised by high degree of inhabitants' activity on the economic, investments and cultural areas. The special features of this town and its surroundings are beautiful landscape and the certain treasure of sacral architecture- the Trinity church, which is designed in the late baroque style by the Italian architect Guido Antonio Longhi. His work was continued and ended after his living to Venice by the Warsaw architect, Jakub Fontana. The original appearance of the church has been changed after several redecorating and rebuilding works and the main of them was destroying monastery rooms above the aisles. The church in the shape of rectangle has got two towers from the north, one nave with three spans and two aisles. The nave is connected with the semicircle chancel, behind which are the vestry and treasury and this whole part of church is decorated with golden angels figures, which are made by wood-carvers. The walls, ceiling of the choirs and the fonts on both sides of the church are decorated in the rococo style. The gorgeous wall-paintings are presented the biblical scenes: the adoration of Jesus Christ and the homage of shepherds, Holy Trinity above which we can see angels and four evangelists, the adoration of Eucharist and the figures of Saints. Beside the church there is the presbytery, which was build at the beginning of this century and the vicarage. This marvellous architectonic masterpiece is situated on the centre of the town, which has an unusual shape of triangle and where is also the chapel building in commemoration of the war in 1920. Another objects, which are interesting examples of the architecture from the beginning of XVIII and XIX century there are: the wooden villa in Zaluskiego St.-'Zabusinek', a beautiful villa called 'Urocza', the residence of the famous geographer prof. Naukowski in Sosnówka. One of the most interesting objects for tourists is undoubtedly the small palace owned by bishop Zaluski. This palace was built in the first half of the 18th century in the garden beside the church and unfortunately was destroyed in the thirties. There are another attractions worth admiring, for example a small building devoted by the bishop to pilgrims or standing in the middle of the market-the tavern, which has a shape of 'L' letter and covered with a ridge roof. The beautiful surrounding and marvellous objects of architecture art there are certainly only one of the causes to visit this region, to sightsee and to take a rest in mild climate as well as a great deal of cultural events. Also its attractive location near Warsaw caused, that a great number of large companies and investors have found this place very impressive and as an area, which is offering the opportunity to developed various kind of activity.
